After School Elevated - New Resource for After School Programs

– March 14, 2018

Child Care, Program Management, before and after school program, After School Elevated

Let’s face it – after school programs do not get the recognition they deserve. In most publications geared toward education, after school programs are often an after-thought. After School Elevated was created specifically for before and after school child care and enrichment programs.

After School Elevated

After School Elevated highlights “Rising Stars” in the industry. These people come from different locations and different backgrounds, but the one thing that unites them is their passion for serving the needs of children and families. The “Rising Stars” for this issue are:

  1. Robin Garcia, Plano Independent School District, Texas
  2. Josh Glider, Kyrene Community Education Services, Arizona
  3. Julie Kinsella, Eastern Carver County Schools Community Education, Minnesota
  4. Amy Frey, Minneapolis Public Schools, Minnesota

The magazine covers topics affecting after school programs across the country. “The State of After School 2018” with Gina Warner, President of the National Afterschool Association looks at the challenges for 2018. Ms. Warner also provides advice on how the after school industry can overcome today’s and the future’s challenges.

We invite you to read After School Elevated and share it with others. If you know an after school “Rising Star”, please nominate him/her to be featured in the next issue. We love learning more about the people who are making after school programs great!
